I don't really title my devotionals anymore, but if I did I would call this one "Growth". It is Gods will to grow us. I was reading a devotional the other day and the author was reminding the readers that growth hurts. It is not easy, because in order to grow, and get better, we have to fall, fail and learn from our mistakes. I haven't been alive all that long, and haven't been a Christian for all that long, but I know enough to know that lessons learned from mistakes are not pleasant, but they are necessay.

I love the phrase in this verse that says "but we all with unvelied face....." He wants to remove the veil from our face, causing us to see Him more clearly! In order to become closer to God, and to see more of His faithfulness and purpose, we must allow Him to lead us through trial, tragedy, and triumph.

We are changing from glory to glory! This is sometimes a slow process, though it is always taking place. I don't believe growing in the Lord ever stops. Even in those slow and silent periods in our lives we are growing, God is teaching us patience! And that is a lesson that takes a long time to learn(does anyone else see irony here? ;)

One day the veil will be removed completly from our face, alleluia!! We will then, and only then come to the full understanding of who God is, His goodness, majesty and we will then see the purpose behind everything that happened to us on earth! But as we are still in our earthly bodies, we are slowly coming to understand God and who He is and what He is doing.

I am saying this and I pray that it really blesses you as a body of believers, and that it encourages you. You may not always know what God is doing, but please, never fiorget who He is! He is mysterious, but He is faithful and loving, and our best interest is always His first priority. He is our Abba and He will see to it that whatever "lion's den" or "fiery furnacee" we go through, we will come out not even smelling like smoke! Thats not saying we wont smell the smoke ourselves, while in the midst of the trial, but when we come out of it, Gods grace will be written all over us when we hold His hand through it all.

God bless you all, as you remember that as He is growing us, we are slowly losing the veil that seperates us from our God, and we are becoming closer to Him and more aware of who He is.
