Have Mercy Upon Me

I am a sinner in the wilderness of life,
In need of thy tender mercies.
I falter and fail,
Blind and broken,
Weeping and wanting
Your Arms around me, Lord.
Now ,tomorrow
Yesterday ,forever.
I am a sinner in the wilderness of life,
In need of thy everlasting mercies.

Have mercy upon me, O God,
according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude
of thy tender mercies
blot out my transgressions.

I read this as I watch a winter snow storm in progress. A pure white blanket of fresh snow covering the dirt and mud beneath while at the same time offering winter-time protection and later spring-time nutrition as it will melt and feed the earth so it can bring forth the bountiful harvest once again. Yes, God's tender mercies - new every morning - covering my sin and feeding my soul so I may walk in newness of the Life He has so graciously given me out of the bountiful Love He has for me. Thank you, Julie, for your words that led me to dwell on my Savior's saving grace. Love, Jody XXXO

Your Arms around me, Lord.
Now ,tomorrow,Yesterday,forever...Good comfort in these words. Right now I need that assurance; although I know that. The last few months have been a time of testing. I am glad I have the Lord. ... Sorry I haven't gotten to your other articles. Things have been hectic. Hart spent 2 weeks in the hospital. He is out now. But there is a lot of catching up to do... May the Lord continue to bless you...Helen
