While the Clock Ticks
The clock ticks across the room --
a steady reminder
that time doesn’t wait
or even hesitate
while I sit here
undecided.
The Word doesn’t change --
a steady reminder
that yesterday is gone
and tomorrow hangs
on decisions I make
today.
I was born into this flesh --
a steady reminder
not to lean on my own understanding,
but to trust the Lord
and His will
with all my heart.
The best I can do
is leave it all in His hands
and let the clock tick away,
while I wait
on direction
from a perfect God.
Whatever those directions,
I pray for an ear to hear
and the strength
to follow through
in pinpoint obedience
to the One who knows me best.
But for this moment,
all I hear is a clock ticking --
a steady reminder
to wait upon the Lord
and the promises
He spoke long ago.

today". Armed with that statement and your desire to trust God for everything, I would say that TOGETHER, you and God will make some pretty powerful and wonderful decisions! Yes, you are waiting... but expectantly, knowing GOD IS AT WORK IN YOUR LIFE. I am reading a book that talks about God's miracles taking time to unfold - but advising us to hold on and focus on knowing God intimately in the process. The miracles will come and on the way we will have a deeper faith. I love you! Peggy

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.
We all need to be patient and wait on the Lord, This is a very hard thing to learn. We want to be impulsive and solve problems ourselves, instead of letting the Lord handle the situation.
