What are you looking for? What’s on your mind,
that you would turn to this decadent slime?
What do you hope for? What do you see,
when you turn to this, when you should flee?

Alluring eyes, beauteous skin,
deceptive wrapping of binding sin.
This world displays what it holds high,
why should you hold this so nigh?

As all depravity, you’re separated from Him,
you’ve crushed Him with iniquitous sin.
Defiling the heart where He dwells,
by the lusts that you’ve made swell.

By your arousal to vain beauty,
your passion for Him is tossed to the sea.
Blind to your bondage, when you could be whole,
You’ve brought flame to your bosom, scorching your soul.
Cold to the Lord, this is your cost,
return to the God who’s not left you lost.
