A Tiny grain of Sand

The incoming tide slowly made its way up the beach. In out, in out, lapping the shore in rhythmic motion, as constant as time itself. After each wake of the tide, the sand shone like the stars on a dark night. But one grain of sand seemed to glisten more brightly. It glowed with a radiant splendour. For this one grain of sand it seemed - destiny had prepared for it a chosen journey.

Night fell quickly. The night was so dark it sent a cold chill rippling along the beach.
The tide slid up the beach once more, and with dark fingers it pulled the tiny grain of sand down into the swirling depths.

Little sand spiralled down, down, down, right into an Oyster. The Oyster tossed itself this way and that to try and get rid of the tiny irritation, but little grain of sand firmly lodged under Oysters tongue.

Over time Oyster grew fatter. Her once tiny visitor Sand had turned into a large round white Pearl.
Pearl had grown so big Oyster couldn’t even close her mouth! Oyster had to do something! Oyster wriggled and wriggled, and coughed and coughed until she could cough big Pearl into the sea!

A passing dolphin noticed the fine white pearl and thought to have some sport with this strange white ball. Dolphin playfully picked up Pearl onto her nose and tossed
her high into the air as far as she could.

Pearl just kept flying, higher, and higher. Soon Pearl was in space passing comets, stars and planets. Then all of a sudden, Pearl stopped spinning, she had arrived at her destiny.

Pearl glowed radiantly. The Darkness in space dissolved, as Pearl’s glow filled the sky. Pearl had become the MOON to shed her light in the night sky.

This is a RESURRECTION STORY one that can reflect the EASTER MESSAGE and the churches commitment to showing the light..
Like the Moon, we the ‘church’ the chosen- are called to be agents of the LIGHT. We are called out of darkness. A light that is set on a hill cannot be hid. We are told to work while we have ‘The light of day’- night will come we are told- when we won’t be able to work.

The Sun shines his light on the Moon. Without the light of the SUN we can’t see the light of the Moon. The Moon is DEAD. The Moon is only a reflector - and it’s boast is the light of the SUN.
The same is with us, ‘The Body of Christ’ (Church) - for you are dead and your life is hidden with Christ in God..Col: 3:1 to 4. He is our light. & 2 Peter:1 v19 Gen1: 3 to 4

Like the moon that has seasons or phases - so it is with us in our earthly walks, we often find we walk by faith blindly and sometimes with little light. But we are asked by God to remain faithful in all of these times, for as always, ‘The SON’ will arise and it is He, that will reflect His Glory in her- The Church- His Bride!
