ESPN: Worldwide leader in sports or the worldwide leader in Alcohol promotion?

Hello! Christian Father and Mother watch, pray, and awaken spiritually. The Lord Jesus Christ warned us to watch in these last days. The Apostle Paul told us that a little leaven would eventually leaven the whole lump. Leaven (yeast) all throughout the Bible symbolizes evil and the secret, quiet and deceptive way the devil would corrupt the minds of people. Well today we can see that he (the devil) is still at his old tricks. Many Christian Parents are conscience of the immoral programming in music videos found on MTV and BET. They have taken steps or actions to prevent their young children from watching these immoral stations. However, there is one station that probably gets large blocks of airtime in every Christian Home and that is ESPN. Satan is quietly and with subtlety using this station to corrupt millions of young minds all over this world. The alcohol industries (specifically the beer companies) are the number one sponsors for most ESPN programming. There are many current top name athletes, former athletes, former coaches and current coaches that lend their celebrity to help promote the programming sponsored by these beer companies. There is nothing wrong with the sports programming on ESPN. Children love to watch the highlights from games of their favorite teams and sports stars. The problem is when Sports Center (very popular on ESPN), has analysis sections entitled “The Budweiser Hot Seat” or “The Coors Minute” where they have popular coaches and athletes featured in these cool segments. This sends the message to children as young as 6 years old that beer is not harmful and can be equated to soft drinks or even bottled water. Years of exposure to this programming can and will (in my opinion) affect a child’s choices later in his/her teenage years. Christian Parents it is time to wake up to this reality. Let’s make our voices heard and change some of this irresponsible programming.
