Winter Land Delight

Winter

Winter is upon us
Our trees are flocked with snow
Snuggling by the hearth
As winter winds do blow

Snowflakes softly falling
Without a single sound
Like a million diamonds
Upon the crystal ground

Gathering up snow gear
To cover hands and feet
Children’s laughter is heard
From street to snowy street

Sleds wiz down the park mound
Snowmen for all to see
A joy filled occasion
A winter day can be.

Moonlit evening’s luster
Illuminates the night
This day my soul has found
A winter land delight.

How that brings back memories of childhood. How is it that as adults we cannot enjoy the winterland delights as much as we did when we were children? Maybe it is the inconvenience of not being as free in the winter. But you brought back into our memory the delight of winter....Helen
