Jesus said to them.....
Children, how hard it is
to enter the kingdom of God!
It is easier for a camel
to go through
the eye of a needle
than for a rich man
to enter the kingdom of God.

"Yes, child?"

"What does this MEAN?"

"What, child."

"THIS; I don't
UNDERSTAND!"

"Whom are you speaking of,
child?"

"Who WHAT, Lord?"

"Tell Me, child."

"Huh? What I mean is,
I don't like this part,
Lord! It's not nice!"

"Who said It,
My precious?"

"Eh.....You know.
You know, Lord."

[PATIENT SILENCE.]

"Eh.....I'm still
a little squeamish
about sayin' His Name,
Lord. But, YOU know."

[MORE PATIENT SILENCE.]

"Anyhow.....it just sounds like
it's not easy to get into
Heaven. WHY?
How COME?
I thought this New Part
was supposed to be
all good NEWS?"

"It is, My precious."

(thoughtful silence)
"Well.....I DON'T think so!
Hey, do You remember
that movie,
'Eye of the Needle'?
Donald Sutherland
was really handsome
in that, wasn't he?"

[PATIENT NOD.]

"And, what's this
about the CAMELS?
Aren't You gonna'
let THEM in Heaven?"

[PATIENT SMILE.]

"I think ALL animals
should go to Heaven,
Lord: even the sharks."

[MORE PATIENT SMILING.]

"To be honest, Lord,
I'd just as soon that
You stuck me in the
non-rewarded part
of Heaven: 'Ya know,
where all the animals are."

[VERY PATIENT NOD.]

"I don't think I could
get along with ANY people for
THAT long......'Ya know?"

"Yes, My precious."

"Most people don't
like camels, Lord.
They say they're
bad-tempered,
snort a lot,
slobber,
and bite, too.
And,
nobody likes how
they look."

[LAUGH.]

"I'm SERIOUS, Lord!"

"Have you ever sat next
to a camel, My precious?"

"Uh, uh.
I was born an' raised
in northwest Philly.
They had a lot 'a
pigeons there.
People didn't like
THEM, either."

[MORE LAUGHTER.]

"So, what's this
ABOUT, Lord?"

"What, My precious?"

"This......'Ya know:
what Jesus said."

"Say that again, child."

"This.......'Ya know..."

"Yes?"

"What, uh......
'Ya know...."

"Tell Me, child."

"What......."

"Go on."

"Jesus said."

[PATIENT SILENCE]

"Jesus."

[SMILE.
NOD.]

Then who can be saved?
Jesus looked at them

With men it is impossible,
but not with God;
for all things
are possible
with God.
