James, we walked the fields of blue and yellow.
While the birds were singing softly,
One by one.
The sun went down an hour ago, or,
Maybe it was two,
But what is time when love lives on and on?

James, so many times we walked the meadows,
Found a wishing well beside the fields of dreams.
I still recall those wild, wild roses,
Stirring in the winds,
While the running brook flowed on to better things.

Those were the days.
How soon they passed!
A love light memory that lasts and lasts.

James, come closer to me,there's no shadow.
Now you've reached the rainbow's end,our love has won.
The stars came out an hour ago or, maybe it was two,
But what is time when love lives on and on?
