The Muse

You are my muse,
For you are the creating spirit within me.
And you are the poet,
As I am the word you inscribe
Upon the pages of history.
And while Jesus Christ was your greatest epic,
You would not make a clone out of me.
For you only create originals.
Therefore, each life is nothing less than a masterpiece.
And although there is profound tragedy in this world,
We will always have this moment together.
As you have breathed life into this body,
You have breathed fire into this soul.
May these words reveal the radiance of Holy passion.
May this faith be the illumination of divine fire.
For there is light amidst the darkness,
Love amongst the hatred,
And breath within the vacuum.
May these lyrics sing to the essence of life.
As you impart your blessings throughout creation,
May this calling be etched upon my soul.
