What if there was no Christmas
No presents to go out and buy
No reason to make up cookies
Or bake a pecan pie

What if there was no Christmas
No presents tucked under the tree
No lights strung on our rooftops
For all to drive by and see

What if there was no Christmas
No mistletoe hung up high
No eggnog by the fire
No family, kisses, hugs, and sighs

I wonder what would happen
If we would took away the “mas”
And gave only “Christ”
When we celebrate Christmas

For Christ is the gift
It is His light we need to see
But people seem to have forgot
The true meaning of Christmas
Can never really be bought
