Sweet and gentle Jesus
You are my wondrous King.
Let me thread the joy in souls
as a song that You may sing.

To weave in them the Masters view
that they may bring You pleasure,
for You have hid in all of them,
unique and special treasures.

Please let me be the bearer
of a portion of Your splendor,
which quickens life into our spirit,
with grace and full surrender.

To shed a tear and not know why,
as mercy always yields.

To embrace the truth, and hold on tight,
and see Your Victory in our darkest night.

To touch the pain that another feels
and walk it's distance with them.

To invest Your faith in the act of love
and bear it weightless as the Dove.

All of this and much, much more
is the kind of power that our Jesus bore.

Father, let me be Your bearer
just this one time called today.
I will not disappoint You
for in You my trust does stay.

And I thank You for Your purpose
and Your will in all we do.
How you weave in us the pattern
of Your Son whose just like You.
