Father GOD
I praise you because it is good
I praise you because you are worthy
I praise you because you are so faithful
And I praise you for you have done incredible things for me

My Lord Jesus
I have learned to trust your love
I thank you for being the author and finisher of my Faith
For without Faith it is impossible to please you

My love
We have come a long long way together
Even though my darkness was once overwhelming
I now enjoy the sight of hope on the horizon
Thank you

Father my heart is troubled
Troubled about the whereabouts of my faithful husband

Father
I praise you because I know that your timing is just perfect but that is not what is truly troubling me

Daddy
What is your plan?
I’ll be 30 next year
I feel his grief as my grief because I know that it has indeed been a long wait

As he was hoping to meet me this year
I too was hoping to meet him
But we haven’t met

I don’t want to be celibate
I look forward to enjoying sex and companionship
Just as he does

Father
We have both put our hope and trust in you
As we both know that marriage is a gift

Is it because we are still not ready?
Father GOD
Strengthen us both
For the waiting is harder now

It is not the mocking of those who live as they wish that we fear
And not the shame of being disgraced by you because no one
Whose hope is in you has EVER been put to shame

It is the deep longing for companionship that grows within us
And the deep yearning for touch that burns us

The constant battle against touching ourselves
Feeling so vulnerable and hurt as we both know that
What we seek cannot be enjoyed outside the boundaries of holy matrimony

How many times will you forgive us
For the same sin?
How many times will we face the shame of our own desires?

For each time we give in to fall
We see our adversaries waiting for their chance
To torment; devour and destroy us

Your Grace alone has kept us this far
May your loving kindness give us peace
And increase our strength to hold on till the end
For in you alone Lord we have put our trust
For in you alone Lord we place all of our dreams
And our lives

Remove our shame Father
Heal our brokenness
And Wipe away our tears

We choose not to fall today
For you have given us a Spirit of Power to life this Christ life
It Hurts Father
With each year that passes
But we have made up our minds
To pay the price and present our bodies as living sacrifices to you.
