John 14:27
Peace I leave you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

As Christmas time approaches my prayer for all that suffer from depression, is they will read this scripture. That they will let Jesus wrap them in His arms. Jesus can take away your depression. He cares deeply for you. You are never alone Jesus said, I am with you always. Many suicide attempts are done during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Many have lost loved ones, and are all alone. Some live far away from their families and experience severe depression during the Christmas season. Many people have no one to come and visit them, and are completely alone. Some have went through divorce or separation, they feel like their world has ended. They feel there is no hope for their situation, depression pushes many over the edge. Many people end up taking their own life. Please remember you are alone, and Jesus loves you. Turn to Him in prayer He will be there for you. Call a friend and just go out and talk. If you cannot do that please find someone to share your problem with so that they can help you get through the holidays. Spend your Christmas by making a difference, volunteer at the homeless shelter, or at a local church that does meals for the homeless.

Don't Give Up Hold Onto Jesus

The holidays cause depression, for those who are alone
It makes many feel that all hope is gone

They have lost loved ones, and have no where to turn
For love and friendship, their hearts truly yearn

Many have a spouse who has left
They feel they have nothing left I guess

Some have lost their mom or dad
The holidays leave them feeling sad

For one reason or another, the depression takes hold
They have ended their life we are told

They have given up, they have no hope
With everyday problems, they can no longer cope

In their life they feel darkness, that will never end
They feel they have no one, on whom they can depend

I pray that if anyone feels this way
They will talk to someone today

There are people who really care
For you they will be there

Please don't go and end it all
Think of your family getting that call

Someone that they love so very much
Gone never to be back in touch

Their hearts would be truly broken
No words of comfort could be spoken

For ever left to ask the question why?
Why did they want to die?

Was it something we said or did?
What about their little kids?

Forever left to wonder what they did wrong
Wondering why their loved one couldn't carry on

The devastation their family truly feels
Knowing their loved one's death was real

If someone is out there feeling depressed
For your well being, our concern is expressed

Go to God in prayer
For you He always cares

Please don't throw it all away
Call upon Jesus today

He will carry you, when life's storms begin to rage
Your battle with depression, in this fight He will engage

To beat this monster, Jesus has the power
Just turn to Him, in your darkest hour

Jesus can deliver you, through the storm of your depression
He will fill your life with light, and wonderful blessings

So please give it a shot, start today anew
Jesus will definitely take care of you

Christmas is a 'heavy' time
of year; there's no doubt
about that. God seems
very distant....like, He's
wintering on the hot side of
moon. But, can you blame
Him? He comes to earth
to Save us, and all we do....
is kvetch. I could tell 'ya
to convert to Judaism, but...
neah: Jews get just as
depressed! Oy, what are
'ya gonna' do?
God Bless!
