A Friend is one who welcomes you with
A gentle smile each time they greet you.
Always there in a time of need,
To ease your ups and downs.

They’re someone who will take the time
To listen when nobody else seems to care.
Someone to walk, talk, laugh, cry
And share your inner most secrets or joys with.
Keeping everything in deepest confidence.

In times of loneliness and great despair,
This person is always waiting to comfort you
By assuring you that all your problems will disappear.

A true friend accepts and understands the things we do,
But is willing to offer advice when the moment’s right for you.

They forgive you when you have done wrong,
Especially in instances when you meant to do no harm.
This person is someone to play, pray or even spend your day with.

Always there to say “I Love You” when it needs to be heard.
Never ever will they kick you when you down,
But will encourage and praise you for not giving up.
