THE BIRTH OF CHRIST OUR KING

The greatest thing
That ever happened
In this world where we live,

Was the birth of Christ our Savior
And the gift he came to give.

To a little town called Bethlehem
With Joseph-Mary came
And there she gave birth
To her first born Son
Jesus is his name.

As there was no room for them
At the inn where they had been,
Mary wrapped him in swaddling clothes
And placed him in a manger
The bed for our King.

Shepherds were in the field
Watching their flock by night,
When an angel came to tell them
Of this Humble-HOLY sight.

They went in haste
To see the babe
Of whom the angel told,
And this truth,of the greatest birth
Shall never ever grow old.

So as we celebrate Christmas
And listen to carolers sing,
May we give glory to God in the highest
For the birth of Christ OUR KING.
