I’m counted blest, more than before;
I lack nothing, need nothing more;
I am content deep in my heart;
For Your grace sought to impart;
And so this heart makes me look out,
Praising Your Name with rising shout,
But not with words that fall to the land,
But acts that mimic the Son o’ Man;

Contentment kills my self-absorption;
I seek those who need Your Adoption;
To make them like gifts to give to You,
For all You want: to love them true;

Help me make this an on-going Christmas,
To share with all Your infinite Promise;
Give them to You; give Yourself to them,
Starting when You forgive their sin;

So while I have this promised light,
I’ll seek those needing Your might;
Give Your Word and Spirit working with power,
I can show them all Your finest hour;
Just work in them, prepare their heart;
Make them ready to leave the dark;
And in good time I’ll come home
With many behind me; I’m not alone.
