You walk down the aisle
in your satin and lace,
Pearl earrings and veil
do decorate your face,
What God has put together,
let no man take apart,
For HE knows the love you feel,
bursting from your heart.

Today you celebrate becoming husband and wife,
You each cut the tiered cake with a specially made knife,
People laugh and cry a mixed bag of emotions,
Gifts run the gamut from toasters to lotions.

The “Originator” of marriage gave
us the “book”,
Promises us happiness if
“the world we’d” forsook
Carry HIS law snuggly and firm
around your neck,
For the Fruitages of the Spirit
in your life don't neglect.

When the “newness” has worn thin
and you will agree,
That marriage involves the husband,
wife and God makes three!
