Poetry
The hope of you was not created in my body,
but in my mind.
I did not carry you in my womb,
but in my heart.
I have not known you for long,
but I will love you for a lifetime.
I prayed for a child and you needed a mommy,
so God gave you to me.
God's grace and love shone upon us both for a moment,
but will bind us for a lifetime.
You were never a part of my body,
but you will forever by a part of my heart.
