I see by Your magnificent way,
all that You do, all that You say,
promises given, ne’er forgotten,
through and by the Great Begotten of God.

One lies here, in the crypt I have made,
looks much like me, yet much more staid.
Who would respond to things of the flesh,
and never knew Your Spirit so fresh.

I see You’ve become the death of me.
By Your own Spirit I’ve strength to flee,
that which You’ve not willed for me.
I’m dead to sin, You’ve set me free.

Now I’m alive, as life’s meant to be,
to hear Your true voice, and do as You please.
My only lot, to walk in Your steps,
as by Your strength I am kept in the grace.

What more there is solely for me,
than do as You’ve predestined and planned;
from death’s dark brink, You are free;
a debt paid for me, by Your Father’s hand.

I see You’ve become the death of me.
By Your great Spirit I’ve sight to see,
that which You have all willed for me.
I’m dead to sin, and alive to Thee.
