God's Bee - God's Blessing

The yellow jacket launched off the cardboard box, flew about three feet and dropped like wet cement.

Having found a small box and a pair of tweezers I carefully trapped one wing and placed her in it. All the time she desperately stung at the tweezers.

With the bee safely inside the box, I went to make some sugar water.

I carefully opened the box and placed a small cap full in the corner, but she was more interested in climbing out. Taking the cap out I turned the box on its side and poured a small amount out for her. Not interested, she wandered around the box.

I took the cap and poured the rest in front of her. Slowly she moved toward it and started drinking. A couple minutes later she had her fill and flew off. Before she left, though she hovered up and down in one spot.

Later that day I told my wife what happened. She asked "Why?"

The next day, while God and I were talking, He told me, "You know Aaron, My people are a lot like that yellow jacket. I see them fall to the ground and I ever so gently pick them up. I place a protective hedge about them so they can't run off until I help them. Just like the sugar water, I place healing within their reach but they are not interested and want to run away. I let them stretch their legs a little but I pave the way for them so they don't get injured.

Then I pour out my blessing and tell them where to find it. They don't even look. Finally I pour it almost on top of them. Even then they are reluctant to drink.

After they drink in my blessing, they rest awhile in my presence and fly off. Some say thank you, others just leave.
