A song I heard in dreams of heaven
That cried in my ears along the day.
A sheep lost in the pen I was searching
For the truth that I dwelled in and believed.
Doubting if it was really I God meant
When he said: "You" and called my name.
He wants me to believe the impossible
Especially when I am the worst of the bunch.

A song I heard that said His blood was for me
Shed, flowed and now cleansed my soul.
I am a stranger in my own life and here on earth
And there are many things I have done wrong.
Holiness makes me see my unworthiness,
Heavens strength makes me see my weakness,
But still it's my name He called after I just failed
And He told me I am spotless, chosen and sent.

A song I heard my grandmother sing on her dying bed
When she said she saw angels engulf the room
And the throne of God stood before her spirit
With Jesus stretching his arms to her to come.
What if she was just a saint, an angel, anointed
Or maybe appointed, yet she said she failed
And gave up many times when heaven seemed dry
But now the world wondered why she ever cried.

A song I heard on the street in the eyes a child
His mother held him across her shoulder
He stared at me and a smile burnt through his face
Radiant as burnish angel, I felt my heart tingle.
I looked around if his pure smile was for me
And he pointed his finger like a word.

A song I heard the day I said I would end it all
Solve God's problem and rid the world of a burden.
I shopped for the best poison money could buy
And wished I never knew my brothers, sister,
Mother or father and hoped they would
Understand that I was worst than they thought.

A song I heard at night when I waited on death to come
And throw me into the belly of hell where Satan waits.
A knock on my door and I sighed for relief of life
But it was Jesus in blood stained robes with His angels:
Mercy, Grace, Faith, Peace, Goodness, Hope and Love.

A song I heard when He said it was I on his mind on the cross.
That heaven would still be empty without me.
Everything I need He provided on the cross for all time.

A song I heard at day break when my heart thumped arise
And I knew it was me Jesus died for on Calvary's cross.
