Who is able to make better judgements about spiritual matters, and life than a person who is in tune with the Spirit? In the Bible we are told that the Holy Spirit is the teacherpar
of truth. (1 Cor. 2:13) When we listen to that still, quiet voice, that guides us through life we wonrquote t go wrong provided that we follow. The choice is ours whether to follow or ignore. The Spirit is gentle, not forceful. The Spirit of God gives us authority to makepar
proper judgements, where a person not following the truth doesnrquote t understand. The non-spiritual individual has no true authority to make sound judgements about spiritualpar
matters. All they have is their own intellect that will only take them so far. Wisdom par
is understanding that is from God. (James 1:5)par
The mind of God is deeper than we can ever fully know. Truth that He reveals to uspar
is only in part. If we knew everything, werquote d be God. (The philosophy of the New Agepar
movement doesnrquote t seem to take this in consideration where it teaches that we arepar
God.) There are people who want to form in their minds how they think God shouldpar
be, or what He should, or shouldnrquote t do. This is ironic because much of the time we donrquote t even know what we should, or shouldnrquote t do, or who we really are. Is there anyone of us who is totally in control? Is there a person who knows their own destiny? Who knows what tomorrow holds? Donrquote t you dare think that the popular psychics know. There does seem to be people who are intuitively sensitive, but even they donrquote t know everything.The reports from these so-called psychic prophets are never when they are wrong about their predictions. Jesus knows all about us, inside and out. (Heb. 2:16-18) What a miracle that we are able to have access to the mind of Christ revealed to us through the Bible, prayer par
and through the Holy Spirit, who indewells us. Believers have no excuse when it comes par
to living holy. We choose not to when we give in to our fleshly urges. We willpar
always wrestle with sin while we are in these bodies, but the comforter,par
