Even though it is dead, I still see the beauty. Life deprived from the delicate petals, that were once crimson. Although faded of vibrancy, I still see such exquisite beauty. I am so faded. Where once passion shone from me, and a desire to pursue the idea I loved, a dullness is found. Would you see, like the dead rose before me, a beauty, a willingness to survive? To once again restore to a splendor former known.
They say that every rose has a thorn. But I wonder if it is the opposite. That maybe every thorn has a rose. That in the midst of such ugliness, beauty can be found. For every harshness, there is a delicate radiance protruding forth. Much like the ideal of hope. It is a fire burning in the darkness. I do not want stars to cease shining, I want my desires to be known. I want to be the dead rose, seeming lifeless, yet so full of being. Usually unnoticed, once taken into consideration such a listless thing can change a thought, or set upon a path that was once left behind.
