As we celebrate Labor Day, I decided to give you a workaholic quiz.


1. Do you spend less time at home and more time at work?

2. Do you find yourself neglecting church attendance or some other spiritual duty in place of work?

3. At home, is your coversation all about your major projects and your worries about your job performance?

4. Do you skip fun activities with friends, spouse, siblings or children because of your job?

5. Are you constantly stressed to the point of being frustrated and angry at the people who love you the most?

6. Are you always tired?

7. Do you have any major health problems such as a stroke, heart disease, depression and even suicide because of your job?

8. Have you lost your identity and the understanding fof your position in Christ?

9. Is your quest for the American dream controlling your life?



If you answered yes to most of these questions, you need some serious rest from work, not just on Labor Day. God wants us to work and support our families but He also wants us to rest. Try taking some days off and spending time with God and your family. You'll be refreshed when you return to work.
