God’s Grace

God’s grace
Cannot be earned
Our works won’t cause it to be
We only have access by our faith
To the unmerited favor
That He gives so freely

When the storms of life come
And problems we seem to face
God always intervenes
By giving to us His grace

Each of us can only learn
At our own pace
Often we can but handle
A portion that’s just a taste

When we love as Jesus does
We will never push our self ahead
We must just learn to give, to all, God’s grace
Rather than condemn or judge with words, instead

God’s grace cannot be purchased
Yet it can be given away
When a person has done the best that they can
Give to them God’s grace, always

Religion of man doesn’t show grace
It boxes a person into a mold
It says that they must be and act a certain way
If they are to enter into the fold

We all already know our faults
So to remind us really does no good
We all need to hear that there is an answer
Instead of saying something to do, we should

We tend to forget who the one is
That brings to man the heart change
If it were up to our ability
All of us would remain the same

The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin
It should never be done by a man
For when God does the revealing
He gives to us His grace and power to stand

If we are to walk as Jesus
Then grace we must learn to give
We must just love and pray for the person
And give to them God’s grace to live

God’s grace makes no boundaries
It has no religious catch
It will come to the most undesirable one
God’s grace, can never be matched

Giving God’s grace is an attitude
That comes out of love in the heart
It should just be so automatic
That we give grace, instead of satan’s dart

Should God not give to me grace
Then I know that I could not stand
So shouldn’t I give the same to another?
And just reach out a loving hand?

God’s grace is unmerited
No, earned it can never be
It is accessed by our faith
And by love, given out, freely.
