Refiner’s Fire
The price has been paid
Your sins are all gone
Now you are free
To lift up your song
But if I say no
That can’t be right
It’s up to me
I’ll win this fight
Something’s not right
I still see sin’s stain
Though I try and I try
My toil is in vain
He must not see
The truth about me
And so I will hide
In ceremony
And yet He looks down
He still sees the sin
Religious pomp
Is transparent to Him
Refiner’s fire
One holy flame
Has touched my life
So good will remain
He sets the seal
His life for mine
Forever now
In Him I will shine

Sherri, 'Refiner's Fire' - beautifully put. I love it. It presents the message clear and how many do think that they can hide under the cover of 'religious/ceremonial activities'. Well done!
