What If?

What if?
Your world fell apart
All the friends that you once had
With you no longer would take part

What if?
Those fancy cars were repossessed
And you had no bus fare
Who as Lord would you then confess?

What if?
The things that you hold dear
Were all to all slip away
Would your heart die with fear?

What if?
All demons that are in man
All the sudden were allowed to manifest
Who then would be able to stand?

What if?
All the pleasures that you follow
Were not available to you anymore
What would fill your heart’s hollow?

What if?
Jesus was to come today
And He found you in pornography
Or with children having your own way?

What if?
Jesus were to call His church home
Would you even be too busy?
To even pick up the Heavenly telephone?

What if?
God’s grace you no longer had
What would your life be like now
Could you still be happy, or would you be sad?

What if?
You suffered the loss of your soul
Because you only gained the whole world
When Jesus came back, with Him would you go?

What if?
You were religious in all the works you did do
And to other men were so admired
Yet you heard Jesus say, “I never knew you”

Sometimes we need to stop and consider
That the “what if’s” could also happen to me
I need to get back to my first love
I need to make seeking God first, my priority

There are many things that can change
In just an instant of time
Yet if you know and follow Jesus
Your protection will be divine.
