Eternal life is the highest grace,
That comes through trusting prayer;
It’s a chance to know God’s face,
And to know His care;
When one knows the living God,
That knowledge should lead to love;
His heart’s desire should be their laud,
And be borne above;
His own will becomes their will,
For this is His good heart;
For that grace, they’ll be still,
Until that grace imparts;
In that grace, they will walk,
Love its infinite measure;
Gratitude will not balk;
They know eternal treasure;
For God’s sake, they’ll draw near,
And live with Him as Lord,
For knowing Him, they’ll hold Him dear,
The knowledge its own reward;

Many will go on learning,
Yet never yield to Truth;
With their curiosity ever burning,
Their end will be their proof;
It’s not just ”what” you know,
But that you know the “Who”;
Will you act on what you’re shown,
To see just how He’s true?
