Some will say I wasn’t worth their time,
Others regret the day I entered their life.
Since childhood, this is much of the strife I faced
Only ‘til the day Wilfred came my way.

Distinguished, impressive, admirable in dignity
“Epitome of Motherhood” and Woman of Strength
As daughter, sister and girlfriend alike,
He taught me to see what lied deep inside.

Today, I can hold my head up high
As I look up to the heavens, where my strength comes from.
The Lord deems me worthy, apart from all works
Adequate, Exquisite piece of Gem is my Worth.

Ranks me superior to the rarest of jewels
Not because of anything I can do…
Unworthy, cheap in God’s clearance rack
Were the thoughts of myself while under attack.

Not my accomplishments, possessions or looks
God’s unfailing GRACE is all it took
He chose me from within my mother’s womb
And labeled me valuable, precious too.

Because of HIM I know who I am
I’m worthy of LOVE and all of the above…
