Who has parents that tell them to do chores all the time? I know I do. When our parents tell us to do our chores, we don't like it very much, do we? In fact, we might sometimes try to get out of doing our chores.
When we don't listen to our parents, they usually punish us. There's grounding, standing in the corner, lectures, and the list goes on. They will most likely be mad or sad when we don't listen, and most parents won't be happy at all when we don't listen. They may yell and tell you to go to your room, but in the end they always forgive you because they love you.
It is the same with God. When we don't listen to Him, he will punish us. We make God sad and angry when we don't do what he tells us to do, but he loves us so much that he gave us an amazing gift. This gift is so amazing that when we do something wrong, then all we have to do is ask and God forgives us. Anybody know what this gift is? This gift is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
