I had a bad dream and it was very scary, so I tried to go sleep with my big brother. I grabbed my best puppy and blankey and jumped out of bed real fast, so the monsters couldn’t get me.

I stopped at the bottom of his big ladder, and looked waaay up there to see if he was asleep or not. I was gonna climb up, but his bed was just too high up there.

I decided I’d try my baby brother’s room instead. I tippy toed down the hallway and into his room. His pillow was all drooly and yucky and I think he forgot to use the potty before he went to bed. I could NOT sleep there!

So, I had to go to Mommy and Daddy’s room. I knew Mommy said I have to be a big boy now, but there was nowhere else I could go. Honest! There were monsters under my bed. Big brother’s bed was floating high up in the sky and baby brother’s bed was all covered in baby slobber. I had to sleep with Mommy and Daddy.

I really quite turned that door thingy and opened it up really slow so I wouldn’t wake anybody up in there. Then I tippy toed my mostest quiet over to Mommy’s side of the bed. I was very scared that she would make me go back to my own room with the monsters, so I just stood there thinking ‘bout what I was gonna do.

Then Mommy’s eyes popped wide open and she did a little scream. Her air was hot on my face and it smelled kinda stinky. I don’t know why she screamed. It was just me. That’s when I got the thought that maybe one of them monster guys had followed me!

I jumped up on Mommy’s big bed super fast and climbeded right over her tummy. Her face kinda hurt my belbow, but I didn’t mind too much. I was finally safe--right under the big, fluffy covers between Mommy and Daddy. Ooh yeah. Now I could go back to sleep—if Daddy would stop making all those snorry noises in my ear!

I came across this tonight, and I got a really good chuckle out of it. My favorite sentence was this one: "I jumped up on Mommy’s big bed super fast and climbeded right over her tummy." What a picture!

I love the "child" perspective! Very cute! Third paragraph from the bottom, first line, "quiet" not "quite" :P

VERY Cute. Good to see you posting again!
