The man who knew God face to face
Because of anger forfeited Promised Land
Symbolic of the Law and not of Grace
It was no fun leading a stubborn band.

Many times they grumbled and complained
Even rebelled, threatened the leader with stones.
Because of trials the promise they disdained;
Disappointing, displeasing the Holy One.

In spite of their stiff necks he inter ceded for them;
Led them out from the house of bondage to freedom.
Out of the lot, Joshua and Caleb were just gems;
A picture of those who walk by faith in the Kingdom
