The clock strikes at twilight
As the nun started to pray the Angelus
I lay prostrate on the floor of the chapel
Weeping in silence, in bitter pain
The pain of leaving this place i called my home
Iclosed my eyes, trying to listen
His voice in my heart.

Shalom my daughter
Peace I leave with you
You are in anguish
But i will see you again
In a special corner of your heart, let me in

One by one, with tears in my eyes
I handed over the veil and my habit
For five years, it was my symbol
of my never ending love
My vow to serve Him faithfully

I have other plans for you
He answered me in a soft voice
Take care of your mother
She needs you in a special way
Be strong, take courage
For my grace is sufficient for you

I was not able to see my mother
breathe her last
And tell her that i love her
for the last time
But true enough to His promise
His amazing grace has see me through
My Heavenly Father will always
be my Comforter
I rejoice once more
And my joy is complete
