UP IN MY ROOM

Up in my room one cloudy monday morning
I asked myself "What is love?"
Jesus answered me, "This is love...
That my Father loved you so much
That He gave my life that you might live."
Oh! What sacrifice that Jesus should lay His life for me!

Still up in my room that cloudy monday morning
I asked myself, "Why then is love so scarce?"
Jesus answered me; "This is why...
Because the world, even in the face of grace,
Has refused my one perfect sacrifice."
Oh! That the world would see that Jesus, the love of God
Is... the only way!

Now, up in my room this cloudy monday morning,
I ask myself, "What must I do to show this love?"
And Jesus answers me, "Do this only today...
As my Father loved you through me, you also
Radiate this love for the world to see and so believe."
Oh! Now I truly see that love is...
THE MOST EXCELLENT WAY.
