“IF YOU DIED TODAY WHAT WOULD HAPPEN
TO YOUR FAMILY'S FUTURE?”

© September 14, 2007

Frances Loftiss Carroll

This eye appealing advertisement was on Yahoo this morning, “IF YOU DIED TODAY WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO YOUR FAMILY'S FUTURE?”

I have a more important question for you, “If you died today what would happen to the person we know as _____________(your name)? Things as we know them now are only temporary. We are on a pilgrimage through life and one day our lives will be over. Life here and now is brief and we must realize that when our time here ends we have an eternal destiny either in the presence of the Lord or eternally removed from His presence.

While it is good to care now about your family, you need be most concerned with answering these questions:
How do you know Jesus?

What does Jesus mean to you?

Have you come to understand and accept Jesus is the only way to have eternal life?

The answer to those questions is far more important to our eternal future than any other questions we will ever have about life and what is to come. This is God's truth – you either know the Lord or you don't. If you know Christ and have accepted His gift of salvation there is unspeakable joy awaiting you at the end of your life. If you know Him but refuse to believe in Him then you have no second chance to come to Christ once your life is over. And, the consequences is too horrible to imagine.

Thanks be to God for His ONLY Son, Jesus Christ, and for the gift of eternal life to all who will believe Jesus as Lord and Savior.

We are writing our epitaph now, while we are alive. And, there will be no re-incarnation as a butterfly, etc.
