The first trumpet sounded.
The sound filled the atmosphere, echoing throughout the entire landscape of the City of Light. Busy angels stopped their work. Flying angels hovered to a stop in mid-air. All attention was drawn to the entrance of the Great Temple, which housed the Great Throne Room of God. At the top of the stairs that preceded the entrance court of the Great Temple stood seven mighty angels, equally spaced throughout the entire length of the entrance. The fourth angel had his trumpet in sound – a powerful sonorous tone. While it sustained, the third and fifth angels sounded their trumpets simultaneously, harmonizing into a symphony of sublime beauty with the first. And while yet they sustained, the second and sixth angels sounded their trumpets together. While yet the five trumpets sustained, the first and seventh trumpets sounded at once, creating a melodious maestro of harmonic perfection.

It wasn’t just a casual routine trumpet sounding. It was a call. An announcement. A summon.
A call to all the stakeholders of the council of the Throne Room. A summon for a meeting of superior importance.

While the trumpets continued their beautiful timeless music, the members of the council made their way into the Great Temple. Twenty-four elders dressed in white royal robes with gold crowns on their heads matched up the stairs, past the wide stone-terraced court, and the colonnaded frontage. The great portals of the entrance opened as they streamed into the edifice, leading them into a large spacious hall lined with endless arrays of massive columns - each one thick enough to contain a score horses lined up nose to tail - and a central nave through which they walked. The columns took their roots from the depths of the crystal glass floor that perfectly reflected their robes, and reaches into infinity above.

As they approached the door of the Throne Room, music like a flowing river could be heard from within the Throne Room. The music harmonized perfectly with the trumpets. As they came to the end of the nave, the great door slowly opened, letting out a great burst of light and sound as though under confined pressure, and revealing the Great Throne high and elevated from the floor. The music and bright light streamed from the Throne like a mighty wave.

Seated on the Throne was God – the Almighty - awesome and majestic. He had the appearance of jasper and carnelian. An aura flowed from him – a surge of power that reaches into eternity, and holds everything that exists – the very life force of the universe. An emerald-like rainbow encircled the Throne, teeming with brilliant white sparkles.

Flying around the Throne were four creatures, producing endless transcendental music in praise to God. They were covered with eyes all over them. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle. Each of them had six wings and they were blazing with fire as they hovered around the Great Throne in trailing flames.

A flight of steps led from the floor to the Great Throne level. At the threshold of the steps were seven burning lamps. Standing a few feet behind the lamps, were the seven archangels. At the floor level were twenty-four thrones for the elders.

The elders fell down and laid down their crowns in worship to God as they joined the creatures in their singing. The music intensified the atmospheric vibration in the Throne Room, charging the air with an astronomical resonance. As the praising grew and intensified, the vibration increased until it exploded into a beam of bright light - its rays breaking forth from the windows of the temple and reaching beyond the boundaries of the great city.
When the music in the Throne Room stopped, the elders stood up and wore their crowns, as the harmony of the trumpets ascended. As the elders took their seats on their thrones, the trumpeting ended in a transcendental climax.

There was a pin-drop silence in the Throne Room.
