Morning Dew On The Rose

People who are in our lives
for just a little while
Leaves us in pain of missing them
but with more of a reason to smile

For we become more beautiful people
because they were someone we were blessed to know
They were like the morning dew
that has settled on the rose

When the sun shines on the morning dew
it becomes a diamond on the rose
To grace the flower with a sparkle
for a short while we sadly know

For when the morning hour is gone
and the dew has faded away
The rose seems lost without it
yet stronger in another way
