Have you ever pondered on the words of this beautifully written hymnal?

I do, and often too; even more so lately!

Lately, I have been taking notice of the minutest detail around me; of nature, of human character, of cultural differences and the traditions of men, of world events and of humanity in general, in all these one can not help but realise the hand of God in it all, especially where the weakness of man and his vulnerability without the Almighty’s intervention, is greatly exposed.

When most of us turn on the television these days, it is bad news; of disaster, disease, catastrophe and war.

The radio is no different, even in our neighbourhood and backyard; many of us or somebody that we know has direct experience of one life-threatening or peace-destabilising event or another

We come in contact with danger in various forms and degrees, from environment to environment, society to society, wickedness and persecution looms daily, criminal and violent attacks (even among children!), disasters like earthquakes, flooding, famine, abject poverty, volcanic eruptions, erosion, bomb threats and attack on life and property, exploitation (not exploration) and gross abuse of the earth, it’s resources and goodness, always digging and prodding in a search and quest for what is not lost.
This journey has now taken man out of the earth’s atmosphere further into outer space on far away galaxies and planets, scrapping and scratching the moon’s surface for signs of existing life and mineral deposits while the earth is crying out for healing

Strange diseases abound, viral and bacterial infections in children and adults that defy medical help and intervention, some scientist are busy manipulating and reconstructing God’s creation and creativity, genetic-engineering is accepted as a norm, genes being cross-bred with reckless bandon, of plant, animal and human!
He does not say we should not use the intellect that He has given us, he only wants us to let Him know before we use it(Remember, TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATH).
Food is not as it used to be, because of meddling with how it grows and how fast too, so now you could eat a bowl full of vegetables and fruits and not get the exact nutrients, if at all, that it is supposed to NATURALLY contain!

The ozone layer, they say is depleting, there is global warming (warming? Heating more like it), the Arctic, I hear is loosing an inch of ice every year and now man is thinking of prospecting for the Arctic’s oil!!!!!

Monsoons, tidal waves, tornadoes, hurricane, destructive storms and the like are a daily occurrence in the news in one part of the world or another

Physicists are always tapping and manipulating atoms and storing them for use in one form or another especially in the creation of more modern and deadlier weapons of warfare and mass destruction
Chemists and biologists are not left out in the rat race

Genesis 1:31a
And God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good.

How can anyone then blame the creator of the universe?
How can you say that if He really is God and a good one at that then He should be able to stop all the suffering of man and should act as in the time of Sodom and Gomorrah by, sending thunder down through His fingers to strike dead immediately, any bad and wicked person (or persons!), especially caught in the act?

How can our Cain rest in peace when Abel’s blood is crying out of the soil and very Earth that we walk upon; for vengeance and justice?
How do we expect to get good yield from the Earth that is soaked with human blood-the life is in the blood, don’t you know?

You assure yourself that He must be none existent if so much can happen under His nose, especially what appears to be contrary to His nature and he is sitting with folded arms just watching on the sidelines like a spectator at a field event.
You tell yourself there is no God, man evolved from nuclei and the universe just started existing because of action and reactions of some gases in the stratosphere(Thank God for Christian apologists these days, who have done enough Bible research and have their facts to confront and counter worldly assumptions, manipulations and brainwashing)

The Bible tells me that He is the God of order, He created the world on principles (Genesis 2:4-6) and expects us to do one thing in order to receive the next, He says, `behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, AND OPEN THE DOOR, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me´.

----- The world says WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND, God tells us;
John 15:7---- What we gain when we abide in the word of God
John 14:27-----He is the God of peace not war
Genesis 3:22-24----- the wages of sin is death-there is punishment for disobedience
Proverbs 16:25------ we need His power of discernment to survive the race

Ezekiel 18:23-24, 27-28, Hebrews 4:16, Proverbs 4:4
Proverbs 1:33---But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil
He is a merciful and forgiving God, despite all of our sins, He loves us, once we are willing to humble our selves and pray and turn from our wicked ways, HE WILL HEAL THE LAND
