Dazed and confused
My plans fall down and hit the hard ground
They hit with a thud
And shatter like broken glass
God is my only glue
That can put the pieces back together
He’s my light in the darkness
The only one who makes this hurt less burdening
I don’t understand
I ask “why?”
Yet God has a purpose
Torn petals and thick rose thorns
Come tumbling and swirling down
And fall at God’s bleeding nail pierced feet
God’s grace is seen through the cross
In my life, He should be the boss
My heart feels like a trampled rose
Yet God’s forgiveness washes in with the ocean tide
And washes away the wounds from my soul
Please give me something to say, Dear God
I can’t think of anything worthy
Anything to express myself
To express my love for my God
He rescued me
From my twisted and broken glass heart
and gave me a brand new start
