In the night of the night
Your light shines brightest
In the valley of the valleys
Your power more real
When my strength is spent
And I keep going
Then without a doubt
I know You my hands.

In the doldrums of life
You're very present
In the winter of life
Your word is sent
From the peak to the trough
You're always there
To mould and make tough
I trust You; You're always fair.

In the fire or furnace
You're always good
I can see Your face
Your word is my food
Recession or depression
I can count on You
To bring promotion
Praise is your due.




Father, I thank You for holding my hands. You said in Your word:
10Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.Isa48:10 Amp
27 The eternal God is your refuge,
And underneath are the everlasting arms;
He will thrust out the enemy from before you,
And will say, ‘Destroy!’Deut33:27NKJV

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because You are ever present and not just there – aloof- but actively concerned with my welfare.
I may not feel like it but I know you are there according to your word: God is my Refuge and my ever –present help in trouble..’ You are Jehovah Shammah, the ever-present Lord. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold o f my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
When my strength is all gone, I know that in my weakness your strength is given opportunity to manifest super-abundantly.
Your Spirit guides, comforts, strengthen and stand by and help me. He shows me the glory to come and enables me to endure trials as a good soldier of Christ.

When I go through the water, You are there; and just as You reached out and saved Peter when he cried out to You when he was drowning, You will reach down to me and deliver me from the mighty waters.
When I go through the fire You will shield me like You did Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. I shall come out smelling like rose – radiating your glory and honour.
You said: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you’

When the times are tough, I know that You are at work in me, fashioning me to reflect Your image, honing my character to be more like Christ. There is a sell-by date for my adversity. Weeping may endure for now- the night of my life- but joy unspeakable and full of glory is coming in the morning; and there shall be a great celebration

You will water me in times of dryness and recession. You will supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus because You are Jehovah Jireh, my Good Shepherd.

Great is Your faithfulness and love.
