Prosperity! Prosperity! It’s All About Me!


Everybody listen up it’s all about me today
So drop what you’re doing and lend an ear to everything I say
I want the big house on the hill with a Mercedes out in front
I tithe 20 percent what I normally do so I’d be sure to get what I want
I want a wardrobe that would make Oprah cry so others around will see
The bandwagon of blessings galore will validate the message of prosperity
A pastor on TV just told me that it’s pressed down and running over
Everyone will give back to me and God will provide seed to the sower
“So give a thousand or ten thousand more!” he shouted for all to hear
“Give unto this ministry and I can guarantee - this will be your year!”
So I mustered up all I had and sent it mail express
Then I sat back and smiled and put up my feet so God could do the rest
Then suddenly with out warning there was silence all around
The TV that was once blaring before me; now it made no sound
I sat in a dark room waiting for God to speak – I was very still
And I heard him speak so very clear – “You should have paid your electric bill”
