The Least of Them

Since You loved like You did, I dare not withhold,
Love to any at all, the young or the old;
What You counted worthy, I dare not shun,
So I’ll pass Your love on to everyone.

Sometimes one is weary and only a smile
Will lighten the day and help for awhile;
Sometimes encouraging words convey
More than we know to some soul that day.

It doesn’t cost much for an extra smile,
For words that encourage that difficult mile....
I’ll remember the price that You paid for them
And smile and encourage again and again!

“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these,
my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Matt. 25:40
