I stare longingly
Into the tranquility
Of the deep blue sky,
Envisioning streets paved of gold.
No oppressed people
Feverishly destroying
All the beauty,
You, my Lord,
Have created.
Visions of Heaven
Cascading the walls
Of my mind.
No ailments
No suffering,
Pure unconditional love
More beauty than
My human eyes can transpire.
The elation of meeting
My Lord and Savior,
My Creator.
Visions of Heaven
Capture my sights
Upon you Lord.
Calming the confusion
Of this sometimes
Unfruitful spirit.
