IF IT WERE YOU?

How easy it is to raise up Holy hands and sing with sweet melodious voices like those of angels when, all is well and the going is very good,
You can truly dance and gyrate to sweet songs of praise and worship as if the very heavens will open and you can simply step in and bow before the Almighty Himself seated on the throne, singing `----LIFT HIM UP HIGHER, MY LORD IS GOOD I WILL LIFT HIM UP HIGHER, EVERYWHERE I GO I WILL LIFT HIM UP HIGHER´! Yes indeed it is so very easy;
When your bank account is very fat and your home is peaceful and full of cheer, when your children score good grades in school and are so well behaved, when you are in sound health, your family is well bonded and strongly united, your job is steady and your monthly income is in many figures, it really is easy to praise the Lord.

When you are the proud owner of a house (full owner, not on mortgage) that is eye-popping and an architectural edifice in its own class, well furnished and surrounded by a beautiful garden full of various exotic blooms and a swimming pool for the hot summer moments, also when you own a fleet of cars and you can pick and choose from your modern closet full of latest designer clothes, shoes, bags and all sorts of accessories to match, also in this category, your family is not lagging behind at all!

How truly easy it is, when all of life’s comforts are at your beck and call, then can you shout, sing and even dance like David danced!

What if it was all the other way round? Remember Job in the Bible?

There are modern day cases of Job’s encounter with gross misfortune, pain and disease.
People who are faced daily with pain, loss, lack, sickness, sadness, misfortune, frequent unhappiness, poverty, disease even death!
People who see their children and loved ones die before their very eyes and are helpless to do anything about it because there is no good medical facility or personnel or not enough or at all to eat thereby these ones become sick from lack of certain nutrients for their bodies.
In certain cases, the transportation system are not efficient enough and even when they do get to the hospital on time the personnel have grown cold emotionally (also due to environmental factors) to summon up enough zeal to respond quickly if at all to do all they can to save a life as they have been taught.

Yes, there are people who live daily and for a life time in situations that YOU can not imagine but of no personal fault of theirs but have just found themselves planted in certain environments, situations, mind-set, traditions and cultural beliefs that overwhelm them and they do not know how not to be a certain way or even when they do have awareness, they have no idea of how to personally implement such and make a change to live more fulfilled lives.

Yes, even though you find it difficult to believe some people exist on this planet Earth who can not think of where their next meal or their main meal of the day for that matter will come from! It still does not prevent the fact that things are really happening and there is suffering on the other side!

There are those who have to dig miles into hard ground (I can not call it earth!) to get water to drink, those who are suffering from muddy, flooded, murky watery mosquito infested graves which they call home because they have no choice, children who have to walk miles without shoes to protect their fragile feet, struggling in a world full of mean adults to seek what to eat.
Human beings like you and me who sleep out in the cold nights; they improvise old cartons and use these as blankets because they have no home, nor warm bed nor central heating to give them warmth

If it were you, would you still praise the Lord and lift Holy hands?
Would you still worship and love the Lord your God if you, your sister or daughter was raped or viciously abused?
In some cases, a child of rape is born if it is not viciously and angrily aborted because of remembered pain, anger and feelings of filth
Would you still praise Him without question if you fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer, HIV or some terrible incurable terminal disease?
Would you ask--Jesus, `who really sinned´ or would you just ` curse God and die´?
How do you respond to those who are suffering, in pain and in need of comfort in your environment?
How do you make a change in someone’s life?
Do you just sit in your comfort zone and pretend they do not exist and will gradually fade out?
