Nature Holds Hope


Green grass wet with morning dew,
buds of flowers opening to the day,
beneath the vast sky of emblem blue,
a gentle breeze causes branches to sway.

Sound of birds singing in the warm air,
with chipmunks scampering all about,
young rabbits munch on plants to share,
a noisy squirrel chatters as if to shout.

Surrounded by nature upon this land,
magnificent beauty for us to all enjoy,
too often we have our heads in the sand,
so busy to succeed we’re often deployed.

Misguided values in the life we live,
in search of success our lives are lost,
taking time to see what nature gives,
enlightens, our monetary values tossed.

Each day a new chance to change the past,
enjoy the serenity nature gives to us to cope,
once if we understand nothing ever last,
nature’s beauty will bring our spirit hope.
