Wandering,
searching,
aiming.
Lord I see your footprints,
the path that you lead.
I follow,
though sometimes
I struggle.
The walk of life,
I have vowed to walk with you.
I stumble,
I fall,
I crash,
I burn,
Lord, I do it all.
With your everlasting strength,
I gradually stand,
Remembering,
I must humble myself,
for human I am,
alone I can not stand.
I grasp on to your words,
searching for the answers
when I feel I am alone.
Lord,
this life is difficult,
my vision gets hazy.
It takes every last effort
to set my sights
where they need to be.
I get weak in the knees,
I wobble,
I shake.
I grasp for your strength,
you smooth the term oil,
helping me to renew my faith.
