You mustn’t be discouraged, child;
You must not be dismayed.
Remember all the times the Lord
Right beside you stayed?

Remember Peter sank afraid,
But Jesus reached right out
To lift him from the water saying,
“Son, why did you doubt?”

Remember all the times that God
A sinful people saved?
But still they did n’t find His rest;
They took it to their grave.

If we believe and trust Him
Just based on what He’s done,
We’d never find a battle
He’s not already won.

The promise of God remains for those
Who are willing to reach out and claim
The inheritance that belongs to them
Given in Jesus’ Name.

His Name will heal the wounded,
As ointment that’s poured forth
If we will see the light of Life
For that which it is worth.


That Name that heals the wounded
Can make the storms be stilled
And pour out grace and mercy
Until each cup is filled.
