When men disassemble the Word of God
And try to explain it away
They heap to themselves wrath upon wrath
To be revealed on Judgement Day.

So wise in their eyes, yet see they cannot,
They speak only words of men
Followers are many, who go that broad path
Because they're not born again.

The wiser they seem, the dumber they be
Who comes to a Sword for a fight?
So is the Word, to those who believe
It discerns what is wrong, what is right!

The wisdom of this world, compiled by man
Can only be wise to a degree
All earthly wisdom tis folly of men
It's heavenly wisdom they heed.

As heavens above earth, so are His Ways
His thoughts above our thoughts as well,
If we leave that fact out, we're doomed from the start
Destined to wind up in hell


God grant us Your mercy, Thou longsuffering One
Grace, greater than all of our sin.
You've lighted the Way, Thou Light of the world
Come let Your glory shine in.

May the Holy Spirit quicken,
Arresting the thoughts of men
Preachers be bold, declaring Thy Word
In Jesus name, Amen!

He's the Emmancipator,
He lets the captives free,
Liberation from sin, from death and from hell,
In Him we are free indeed!
