Lord, You chose me as a vessel,
To do a special work,
I want to do it willingly
But in the shadow, evils lurk.

I try in my own power
To do the job assigned.
My hands and head are busy,
Confusion in my mind.

When all is done that 1 can do
And finally can do no more,
I give it back to you, Lord
The joy You will restore.

You took my disappointment
And cleared my weary head,
You assigned to me an appointment
And illuminated where the path lead.

And when the work is good,
The fruit heavy on the vine
I give you all the glory
For it is none of mine.
